I abhor arrogance and find the drive for ‘better’ addictive; this is why I fell in love with Berkeley from the first moment I stepped through its door. Having previously built and driven the agency on a day-to-day basis in the UK, my role is to now build and manage a team of like-minded people on the international stage. If you buy Berkeley, you will get comms delivered in the ‘Berkeley way’, regardless of which country you are in.
Our clients love this, because they love our approach and want the same great results, stories and campaigns on an international level. The team loves this because they are given an environment to be effective consultants, colleagues and professionals by sharing and learning from our extended family. I feel this is what I excel at. Ensuring both clients and the team feel that by working with Berkeley they become better, regardless of borders.
As International MD of the agency I’m proud that the recommendations we make to our clients are the same as those we would make if we owned their company. Decisions are never based upon securing extra budget to keep shareholders happy. Decisions are made because they will improve our clients’ businesses. I’m equally proud that via our grounding in storytelling and commitment to results, we are training a generation of communicators that will shape our industry for decades to come.
To unwind from work I ‘relax’ by being a season ticket holder at Old Trafford and I’m a proud father who loves going to the theatre and spending time with my family.
