The reason we all work at our PR agency

Written by Kate Bartholomew

It’s times like this that I love working at a PR agency.

With some major campaigns reaching their peak this week, the energy and enthusiasm levels in the office have gone through the roof. There is a real sense of comradery as everyone pulls together to get results and see all the hard work and preparation pay off.

It’s weeks like this that remind us why we do the job.

From a blank canvas to compelling storylines and creative design, fledgling ideas to fully blown campaigns. Even those not directly involved in pitching press releases or stories to the media, or converting carefully crafted content into coverage, can’t help but get swept up in the moment and urge those around them to succeed.

It’s weeks like this that motivate and inspire everyone, from admin to accounts.

The buzz is infectious, and there is a real ‘newsroom’ feel about the office, creating a great atmosphere and environment in which to succeed. There are sweets on tap and the caffeine is flowing. The prosecco is chilled, ready for the end of the week to toast a job well done, thanks to a ‘sell-in survival kit’ to keep everyone going and in good spirits.

This is what working at a PR agency is all about.

The excitement of being involved in diverse projects – from technology to healthcare, security to shopping; the opportunity to constantly learn new skills and refine old ones; meet new clients and make new contacts within different industries. There is never a dull moment and when a week like this comes along you remember why you get out of bed in the morning.

But don’t just take my word for it. If this sounds like an environment you would like to experience and feel you could excel in, get in touch.
