Storytelling top tips: The prize for coming second
Most first sentences in business communications are little more than a throat clearing exercise. Take a look at your last blog, presentation or email. I bet you’ll find the second sentence is more powerful than the first.
For example:
‘Working from home is said to be good for mind and body. Two thirds of us exercise more, eat healthier and report less stress when we work from home…’
Cut out the first sentence and the reader is more likely to stay with you.
