The basic structure of every story has three parts. You can turn to these to bring drama to every piece of content you write and present a compelling description of your business or product.

  • The problem
  • The solution
  • The consequence

For example, a brand communications company might say:

Noise is the enemy to the marketing professional (problem). Our storytelling formula helps them find a way to cut through (solution) and engage audiences without having to throw more money at the problem (consequence).

It works just as well if you have a 30-minute presentation to make. Just break it down into these three parts, spending ten minutes on each.

Give it a try!
